The Abigail / Gabriel series is a subset of the #1206 series. The #1206 series, a departure from my usual musings, is inspired as a result of conversations with former senior advisors to multiple Presidents of the United States, senior officers in the US Military and other interesting folks. It is also heavily influenced by my own career as a strategy advisor and large-scale IT architect for Fortune 25 / Wall St. clients as well as various government and military agencies.
While many of these musings are just “fiction” (note the quotes) and a departure from my musings on technology, strategy, politics and society, as a strategy guy, I do everything for a reason and with a measurable outcome in mind. Many of them have truths woven into the fiction based on my previously mentioned background.
The #1206 series is a complex blend of difficult subjects, with sometimes dark warnings about where society is going. The content is often disturbing to many readers who don't like to deal with the realities of the world that we live in.
The Abigail / Gabriel series, on the other hand, offers hope and inspiration to people and perhaps a motivation to contribute their skills and strengths towards making the world a better place. These blog posts share a common theme - an intervention by a complete "stranger" who imparts some insight into a new way of living as opposed to the #1206 series itself which mostly contains warnings or important information for the reader.
